This beautiful mountain farmhouse design by Walton Architecture + Engineering in collaboration with Helsin Construction is located in the Martis Camp community of Truckee, California. Created for family living, the project team focused on dedicated spaces for the younger generation. This includes a spacious bunk room with a train-style bed system and a fully equipped craft room.

Weiland lift and slide windows and doors create a seamless indoor/outdoor connection in the living room. An open and airy floor plan and playful details are perfect for both family living and entertaining. What We Love: This mountain farmhouse design offers a family a fabulous home for living and entertaining in stylish comfort. We are loving the beautiful hardwood flooring and the soaring ceilings in the great room. A wonderful indoor-outdoor connection has been established through the Liftslide doors, inviting nature inside. Overall we are loving the design of this home, it offers warmth, comfort, and magnificent views.

Above: The doors leading from the Great Room to the terrace are Weiland Liftslide doors. It’s a 4-panel system (19’x11′). Each panel has a grid detailing —8 square pattern. The walls of this room are paneled with planks of poplar that are painted after installation. The great room is 21’6″ wide by 30′ long with a ceiling height of around 25′.

Above: The countertops in the kitchen are Calacata Michelangelo Marble in a honed finish from DaVinci Marble. The stain on the floors is a Rubio Monocoat. The wall color is OC-18 | Dove Wing – Benjamin Moore. The cabinet color is a gray-green called Pigeon by Farrow & Ball. The hanging pendant lights over the kitchen island are the Shaw pendant in a zinc finish from Urban Electric Co. The ceiling height is close to 10’6″.
