Brio Interior Design is responsible for the renovation of this classic family home perched atop an expansive waterfront site in north Seattle. The property boasts magnificent panoramic views of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic mountain range.
The owner’s mother had spent her teenage years growing up in this humble abode, which was constructed in the 1940’s. When the grandfather passed, the estate was purchased, keeping the home in the family. The purchase and renovation were a way to reinvent history by making an old house brand new again for this young family who decided this dwelling held too many precious memories to be sold to the next highest bidder.
The aesthetic of this abode is classic meets modern and eclectic. It’s playful, vibrant and whimsical. Ideal for a family that dines most days together in a formal dining room around a table where family members have gathered for decades to celebrate the greatest joys in life.
Some rooms, furnishings and artwork will be quickly recognizable to aunts, uncles and cousins while gathering for a delicious Christmas dinner. While others will be left scratching their heads, pondering what it used to look/feel like.
