Centre Sky Architecture is responsible for the creation of HandleBar Ranch, a residential property with three separate structures for family living and entertaining in Evergreen, Colorado. Well integrated into it’s heavily wooded landscape, the home features large windows to take advantage of the surroundings. The original house and barn were torn down, replaced with a newly constructed home and barn that opens to a large meadow and seasonal creek on site.
The house has a more traditional โMontana Ranchโ aesthetic both inside and out while the barn leans towards mountain contemporary with exposed steel. Energy-efficiency was a strong focus on this project. This includes a geothermal system, solar panels, and energy efficient windows to create environmentally friendly structures with renewable energy.
Large expanses of glazing, simplistic exterior materials, and a mix of timber to steel beams and columns create a blend of traditional style with a mountain contemporary feel. Centre Sky Architecture partnered with Best Custom Homes for this unique project. A team of consultants worked on this project, including Vintage Woods & Metals, who did the majority of materials on this project, including interior and exterior siding, trusses and beams.
