Feldman Architecture designed this stunning wine country retreat that consists of two perpendicular bars set on a hillside overlooking the village of Healdsburg, a city in Sonoma County, California. This home boasts plenty of space for entertaining guests with the privacy of a rural retreat. The higher section of this property travels along the ridge of the hill, which houses the dwelling’s great room.
Four expansive glass panels open dramatically on all sides of the great room, transforming the space into an outdoor pavilion. It’s flush concrete flooring extends out to the poolside patio to the north and into a terrace featuring a fire pit to the south, offering relaxing outdoor living spaces to enjoy through all four-seasons. When the steel-framed glass panels are open, the property offers sweeping views from the pool, through to the great room and beyond to the village of Healdsburg.

The dwelling’s second wing intersects with the great room, extending towards the north. This section becomes increasingly more private as it flows from the garage to the media room and opens onto the pool area, culminating at the master bedroom suite. A short jaunt from the main house is a guesthouse, which is positioned down the hillside. This cozy space offers overnight guests an additional level of privacy.
What We Love: This wine country retreat boasts a fantastic indoor-outdoor connection, with expansive views of its lush surroundings. Spacious and comfortable living spaces are perfect for relaxing or entertaining family and friends. Shaded outdoor living areas and a large swimming pool invite you to spend time enjoying this heavenly location… Readers, what are your thoughts on this home, would this be your idea of a dream retreat?
