One of our favorite real estate friends, The MacNabs, have sent us a collection ofย images of an incredible loft space in Mount Pleasant, an ideal suburb in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The area is known as a hip place to live as an artist live/work studio building. It is in the heart of the brewery district, just a short walk from from a variety of restaurants and breweries, so you can see the appeal! Aptly named the “Skull Loft” for its eccentric skull decor,ย this double height industrial padย is located in the MECCA building, originally constructedย in 1995.
This building is the MacNabs favorite (although they could be partially biased) building in Vancouver. As they have personally purchased, renovated, marketed and sold… not to mention attended several memorable parties in these spectacular lofts. Have a look at some of the past features of their work:ย Loft in Vancouver showcasing impressive design and views andย Vintage Modern Loft in Vancouver gets inspiring transformation. You also don’t want to miss touringย Jordan and Katie MacNabs first ever home that they purchased and remodeled together, featured here:ย Stunning modern loft in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver.
This particular loft is the MacNabs friend’s loft, located on the fourth (top) floor of the Mecca building. Ideally south facing, it features soaring 22 foot high ceilings. The perk to being on the uppermost level of this structure is that it allows you access to an incredible rooftop party deck. Not only is this a lot of fun if you enjoy entertaining, but according to Jordan, this is a great selling feature for these lofts. They are also known to host an occasional outdoor movie โ we are sold!
Additional highlights includes two full bedrooms and two bathrooms. An open plan layout on the first level offers a spacious kitchen with a large island as well as a dining and living area. Wide plank hardwood flooring covers the main living spaces and the bedrooms. The master bathroom was remodeled, with a spa-like aesthetic. There is plenty of storage, a laundry room, Juliet patio doors, a gas fireplace in the living room… and an expansive window capturing the bustling street below.
What We Love: The skull loft reflectsย clean lines and a minimal style aesthetic.ย Playful art and accessories adds personality to this uber-cool loft space. The expansive window in the living room perfectly frames the views of the city, while illuminating the interiors with natural light. This is a fantastic space for those who not only love loft living butย wish to be in the heart of a fantastic urban city center.
Readers, what are your thoughts on this loft, do you like how the homeowners have it decked out? Is there anything you would have done differently? Please share your thoughts in the comments, we love and appreciate your feedback!
