This captivating coastal home was designed by Beau Clowney Architects and Allison Elebash Interiors, located in the waterfront community of Kiawah River, just outside Charleston, South Carolina. This magnificent Lowcountry community encompasses 2,000 acres of marshland, creeks and ponds, oak and pine forests, and riverfront property on Johns Island.
The owners reside here for most of the year, spending summers in New Hampshire. Their idyllic half-acre waterfront property backs up to a vibrant tributary with an abundance of wildlife. The crisp white exterior facade has a coastal cottage vernacular, while the interior features a cool, comfortable, and coastal-inspired design. Encompassing four bedrooms, this retreat is spacious enough to fit the owners, along with their three adult children and two dogs.
