In the heart of picturesque Driftwood, Texas, a dream took shape as a modern ranch-style vacation home was crafted for a bustling family of seven from Minnesota. The family wanted a space that could not only comfortably fit their group, but serve as a sanctuary for them to retreat to for years to come.

A space for summer vacations and cozy Christmases that could evolve with them. Laura and her visionary team at The Pankonien Group embarked on a journey to craft a house and an experience, where indoor and outdoor spaces harmoniously danced together. Step inside this inviting home to find 7,000 square feet of sumptuous living space with six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Nestled amidst the scenic Hill Country landscape, this extraordinary property stands as a testament to the vision of a “modern-ranch” brought to life. Overlooking charming Texas vineyards and providing breathtaking vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see, this new construction was completed in just 17 months, from the initial foundation to the exquisite finishing touches.

Laura Pankonien and her designers teamed up with a dedicated team of builders and craftsmen to turn a vision into reality, showcasing remarkable efficiency and unwavering commitment to excellence. In this modern-ranch oasis, Laura and her team have painted a canvas of warmth, comfort, and style by blending antiques with pieces from small makers as well as items from notable, established vendors including Vanguard, Bernhardt, Loloi, Visual Comfort, Curry and Company, Arteriors, Palecek, and Four Hands.
