Ca La Pinada is a bioclimatic house built to passive house standards by Bataille Living, located in Jávea, a coastal town in the province of Alicante, Valencia, Spain. This project is the perfect fusion of sustainability and design, where minimalism is found in every detail and reflects the essence of this dwelling: tranquility and solitude.
The advantages of passive house construction are that there are no petroleum-derived materials, rainwater is recovered and stored in a well, and there is a ventilation system that renews CO2 permanently. This dwelling is constructed with a sustainable material palette that does not harm the environment: terracotta, wood, and clay.
Bataille Living is a real estate development company led by designer Jessica Bataille that creates exclusive homes on the Mediterranean coast of Spain with a focus on combining design and sustainability.
To maintain the home’s connection with nature, apart from being on a spectacular site surrounded by a pine forest, the outdoor pool is made of limestone and salty water. The Mediterranean Sea is just a step away.
Outside, one can enjoy the saltwater infinity pool which has been made with Bali stones or relax in the chill-out area.

This 2,981 square foot (277 square meters) dwelling is nestled on a large property surrounded by pine trees, tranquillity, and nature.
Spread out over two levels, the main floor encompasses a fully equipped open plan kitchen and a living room with dining space, and a relaxation corner near the fireplace. There are also three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and an additional guest bathroom. Upstairs, there is the main bedroom with spectacular panoramic views and a private garden.
