Interior designer Elizabeth Krueger has renovated this old house in Cleveland, Ohio with the goal of making it bright, welcoming, and family-friendly. The designer likes to “freshen up” her home all the time, whether it be a new furniture arrangement, an interior shopping spree, or perhaps just starting over in a new home.
A growing family and evolving lifestyle needs have led the designer’s family to move from Chicago to Cleveland to be close to family and lay down roots. This dwelling embodies this next chapter of their lives, which is light and airy and created with the children in mind.
Like many homes in this area, which are older and have plenty of character, it also needed a little TLC. The designer renovated finishes throughout the entire house to personalize the living spaces. Step inside a day in the life of a native Clevelander, mom of two, and forever furniture rearranger.
What We Love: This renovated old house features beautiful yet family-friendly living spaces. Fabrics and finishes were selected to be easy to clean and washable to keep living spaces looking and feeling fresh and serene. Overall, we are loving the makeover of this home, with style and sophistication yet perfectly suited for family living.
