Rehkamp Larson Architects has designed this beautiful modern European cottage-style home located in Deephaven, a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This dream house was created for a couple with three children who lived in an urban city center and desired a more family-focused neighborhood.
On the exterior facade, the material palette consists of hand-troweled stucco, cedar shingles, copper flashing and gutters, and wood windows. This striking aesthetic is brought into the interiors, featuring plaster walls, recycled hand-hewn timber beams, inset wood cabinetry with exposed hinges, stone countertops and sink basins, along with textured cobblestone accents.
