Inside an awesome waterfront home in South Carolina with refined luxury

waterfront-home-exterior

This luxe waterfront home was designed by Clarke Design Group in collaboration with Melissa Lenox Design, located in Charleston, South Carolina. The goal for the design of this home was not only to ensure views were maximized but to create an interior that feels like a special and personal experience.

Located in the downtown area of Charleston, this riverfront home reflects a perfect balance of Lowcountry views and refined luxury that is tactile, warm, and inviting. A soft white palette sets the backdrop for an emphasis on a collection of art, textiles, and objects acquired from a well-traveled lifestyle and years spent living abroad.

While the interior tells the story of a personal family experience, the view of the Ashley River — framed with palm trees and boats passing by — contributes to an overall sense of calm. It’s a barefoot house for sure – easy yet grounded, with plenty of space for loved ones to gather.

What We Love: This waterfront home in South Carolina provides its occupants with beautifully refined details that are warm and inviting. A soothing color palette inspired by this home’s surroundings helps to promote a relaxed and casual atmosphere. We are especially loving the kitchen with its two-toned cabinetry, crisp white countertops, wood accents, and gorgeous pendant lights over the island.

Interesting how they ended the vertical shiplap a few inches below the ceiling. Have not seen this approach; I like it. The molding at the top of the shiplap could be a picture-rail molding.
