This absolutely gorgeous Mediterranean style lakefront estate was designed by Chas Architects, located in Austin, Texas. A small romantic lane meanders its way down the hill next to a deep tree-covered ravine to a secluded property defined by 300 feet of lake frontage on the east and a steep rock bluff on the west.
The compound of buildings is sensitively placed to maximize the ‘place-making’ potential of the site and emphasize the special relationship to the water. Continue below to see the rest of this spectacular home…
Authentic materials, beautifully handcrafted details, and carefully scaled architectural elements create an overall ambiance much like one would find in an old European country house.
What We Love: This Mediterranean style estate features beautiful handcrafted details throughout the design of this home. Large windows were placed to maximize views of this home’s idyllic waterfront setting. Soaring ceilings in the great room create a dreamy atmosphere for living and entertaining. We are also loving the outdoor entertaining spaces and verdant landscaping for an overall feeling of relaxation and tranquility.
