Spectacular modern retreat surrounded by the majestic Teton Mountains

contemporary-mountain-home-exterior

This spectacular modern retreat designed by CLB Architects is located at the base of the Teton range just outside of Wilson, Wyoming. Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and mature aspen trees, this residence was designed to maximize its site and spectacular views. Nestled on the Crescent H Ranch, this home is all about privacy… and the views. This includes the entire Teton Mountain Range and the Sleeping Indian.

Highlights to the surrounding area include unlimited access to a 1,300 acre groomed trail system, which is perfect for summer and winter activities. This includes cross country skiing, hiking, biking, and even private blue-ribbon fly fishing on the spring creeks of the ranch. The trail system also offers access to the Snake River and the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

This 35-acre private mountain property features 7,302 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and six full bathrooms. The architect’s central focus was to bring the outdoors into every room of the home by siting the home to access the views. Attention to detail is magnified around every corner, with beautiful craftsmanship that really makes this home shine. Expansive sliding glass walls disappear to reveal panoramic vistas of the surrounding valley.

At the heart of the home is the central living area, which connects two wings of the structure. The north side of the wing encompasses a master bedroom suite, guest suite, and a conservatory. On the west side of the wing, you will find two guest bedroom suites as well as a media room. A private owner’s level (second story) encompasses plenty of wonderful amenities: an office, library, and master bedroom with his and her private bathroom.

What We Love: This spectacular modern retreat is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities and living in a dwelling with fabulous views of the Teton Mountain Range. The aspens on the property are beautiful and add a peaceful feel to this striking contemporary abode. The walls of glass help to illuminate the space with natural light, adding a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. A stone and wood exterior facade help to meld the home to its site.

Love the architecture… interior and exterior… very creative and exciting. Love the use of various textures. However, I found the furniture selection and lack of color and void of accessories boring. Lacks all personality… No warmth. Who lives like that today?
