this is really nicely done. i would have used aluminum clad wood windows and partitioned off the kitchen instead of having an open kitchen. the obvious drawback to aluminum clad wood windows is reduced glass area. what kind of wood is used on the exterior? i am guessing that it is stained western red cedar.
