Birch Creek Ranch was designed by JLF Architects, a mountain rustic ranch house overlooking Ennis Lake and the Madison Range in McAllister, Montana. This stunning retreat blends a mountain aesthetic and a contemporary edge while simultaneously complementing the tranquil landscape its nestled upon. Appearing modest in size from afar, the 5,000 square foot interior is plenty spacious for the owners and all their extended family members.
This is a restored ranch property that resonates with eclectic personal taste. A glass and steel-lined bridge connect two living spaces over a creek, but the connection runs deeper: It’s about the retreat, restoration and reclaiming a quality of life that is linked to the land, the water, the place.

The builders of this project, On Site Management, have a custom log yard that provided everything from the exterior reclaimed wood to the wood used for doors and cabinets throughout the main residence.

An exterior facade of stone and reclaimed wood invites you into this bright and airy home. On the interior, large expanses of windows capitalize on the incredible views that surround this home, creating a tranquil environment in this relaxing escape.
