ZAK Architecture designed this mountain modern retreat located in the luxury Martis Camp community of Truckee, California. This sumptuous home boasts 9,000 square feet of living space, with seven bedrooms, and nine bathrooms. A dream home for living and entertaining. On the interior, graceful, artistic lines and elements of surprise are seemingly never-ending. Beyond its alluring exterior of form concrete, radiant wood and black iron beams is a house that feels like home while also projecting the personality of a museum of modern art.

Inside this mountain modern retreat, a wide, long hallway on the main floor leads to three spacious bedrooms, each with access to a path that guides you toward the home’s centerpiece. An immense patio flows the length of the home and overlooks a pair of fairways, as well as Lookout and Sawtooth mountains. Here, you will find an integrated hot tub, bars, barbecue, fireplace with seating and large screen tv, covered dining and firepits.

Beyond the deck’s pocketed doors are a stunning great room, dining room, and kitchen. Further, you come to a spacious media room and beyond to the master bedroom with its own deck. Descend a staircase that reveals a vibrant layout of the kitchen, dining nook, living room, outdoor deck, and a comfortable home theater. Another set of stairs leads to a bright landing with a long hallway of windows and two sets of bunkrooms, each with four double beds and a well-appointed bathroom.
