This luminous home was designed by Cornerstone Architects to maximize the natural beauty of the site, located in the town of Westlake, an upscale suburb of Fort Worth, Texas. The expansive living space takes the inside out with a massive sliding glass door extending the entertainment area outdoors and yielding ample natural lighting. The outdoor living space is complete with solar screens, sound system, and heaters for year round enjoyment.
This configurable design, set among a backdrop of trees along a creek, creates a secluded treehouse ambiance. Sleek landscaping and terracing patios complement the home, while creating more intimate spaces. Carefully crafted views from large windows throughout the home provide complete privacy from neighbors while taking advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings.
What We Love: This luminous home offers its inhabitants an idyllic indoor-outdoor living experience. The back of the property has a treehouse-like feel, with a covered porch set amongst the treetops. Comfortable and inviting furnishings are perfect for family living and entertaining.

Above: An intricate blending of interior selections accentuates the architectural style and openness of the plan. The home uses modern elements and materials to emphasize the beauty and light of its setting while maintaining a private retreat for the homeowners. Glynis Wood Interiors was responsible for the interior design of this fabulous project.
Above: The homeowner’s requested a modern and bold chef’s kitchen. With 295 square feet, this space offers plenty of storage options. The 5′-6″ x 7′-10″ center island is focused on storage over seating. All countertops are Absolute Black leathered granite, while the backsplash is a satin-glass. Flooring is French white oak. Overall the esthetics of this space offers bold, clean lines with its limited material palette and flat panel cabinetry. There is also a built-in coffee maker!
To keep this space from feeling too dark, the kitchen window was enlarged to flood the space with natural light. The dark backsplash and solid island contributes to a monolithic feel in this space.
