This dreamy cottage was designed by Northpoint Custom Builders in collaboration with West of Main, located on Lake Muskoka, in Ontario, Canada. The interiors of this home features an open concept with sweeping views of the lake. The secret to creating this cohesive atmosphere was in all the details. This includes the heavy use of shiplap and wood ceiling beams. In all, this home encompasses 3,363 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. This home features a modern-chic composition of finer finishing details including trendy brick accented kitchen walls, along with 20-foot high soaring ceilings in the living room and master bedroom.
Additional highlights: magnificent twin walls of windows, a cedar lined Muskoka room with bi-folding glass doors, large glass railed deck, clear cedar railings, main floor bedroom suites including the master. A fully finished lower level walkout boasts a media room, family room, recreation room, two more bedrooms and two full bathrooms. All bathrooms are incredibly stylish, while all of the living spaces offer excellent design and flow. Nestled on 8-acres of property, this cottage also boasts a 2-slip boathouse and a sunlit entertainment area — all on 183-feet of water frontage. These spaces are decked out with a blend of traditional and modern finishes.
What We Love: This dreamy cottage offers a bright and airy floor plan, featuring expansive windows that frame magnificent views of Lake Muskoka. We absolutely love the wooden beams and shiplap combo. The furnishings and accessories are styled and positioned to highlight the beauty of this home, but not to detract from the picturesque surroundings. In the great room, the designer selected a rustic dining table that is perfect for casual and formal entertaining… and again, those views!!
