Pearson Design Group, together with Shawn Henderson Interior Design, has crafted this gorgeous mountain-modern ski house situated in the luxury gated community of the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.

Reclaimed Wood and Stone Exterior Facade in a Mountain Setting

Above: The exterior facade of this ski house is clad in reclaimed wood and fieldstone that was locally sourced.

Above: In the entryway of this ski house, a vintage Olavi Hanninen Table is complemented by a Vintage Bronze Ottoman by Warren Platner for Knoll — the seat is covered in Dessin Fournir leather. The flooring is antique stone, while the area rug was sourced from ALT Living. Suspended from the ceiling is the Angular Momentum Chandelier in textured steel by Lou Blass.
Rustic Modern Living with Warm Natural Materials

Above: Expansive steel-framed windows in the living room captures breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. Wood-paneled walls adds a rustic touch to this modern space. Grounding this space is a custom hooked rug that has a pattern based on a topographical map of the home’s site – The New England Collection.

Above: Highlighting the large windows of the master bedroom is linen drapery fabric from de Le Cuona. The custom fabricated headboard and bed are upholstered in a Sam Kasten fabric, while the luxurious bed linens are from Frette.

Above: The fireplace mantel in the owner’s bedroom is blackened steel, surrounded by a wall clad in Japanese clay tiles sourced from Chelsea Arts Tile + Stone. Fireplace tools are from Kaufmann Mercantile. Accenting the fireplace is a stool covered in an Edelman Leather shearling.


Above: The kids’ bunk bedroom features custom-designed beds composed of reclaimed whitewashed wood and topped with bedding sourced from Swans Island Company. The table is from Restoration Hardware, while the pendant light fixture is from Bone Simple Design. The curtains were fabricated from the luxurious Italian fabrics brand, Brochier. On the floor, the carpet is from ALT for Living.

Outdoor Deck and Après-Ski Entertaining with Panoramic Views

Above: On the front deck are comfortable outdoor chairs from Restoration Hardware, covered in a Perennials outdoor fabric. The Blanche Concrete Faux Bois Garden Stools are from Mecox. The decking is composed of reclaimed wood. Illuminating this outdoor space at night are wall sconces from O’Lampia.
