A stunning contemporary cottage was built by Jonathan Raith & Co., with interiors by Sophie Metz Design, located in Nantucket, a tiny, isolated island off Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The beautiful kitchen is the central showpiece of this lovely home, dressed in white, there are plenty of stylish features. Custom white painted cabinets are Benjamin Moore White Dove, with a Satin Impervo finish. The refrigerator is a Sub Zero IT-36CI integrated model, which means that it accepts finished cabinet panels for a seamless aesthetic. To the right of the fridge is a custom designed pull out pantry. The exquisite countertops are Calcutta gold marble (without the gold), while the expansive island (6′ square) is accented with leather bar stools (source). Suspended over the island, Urban Smokebell pendants illuminates the space with light (source). The flooring is newly sawn white oak with a multiple layer natural oil finish from Rubio Monocoat. The wood flooring throughout the interiors has been applied in 7″,8″,9″,10″ widths, sourced from K.D. Woods Company.

Above: To create a seamless connection with the shiplap walls, the builder used Corian (1/2″ thick x 30″ wide sheets) in the interior of the shower. The builder sourced the material from DuPont. “The panels have two pieces per wall, while individual grooves match the opposing shiplap wood on the sides,” states the builder. The shower floor tiles is a blend of bardiglio marble in a hexagonal pattern.
