This rustic-modern mountain retreat was designed by Carney Logan Burke Architects, along with custom home builders On Site Management, located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The exterior facade showcases a stunning combination of reclaimed barnwood and natural stone with gabled roofs. This mixture reflects  a cool, neutral palette. The eaves are cantilevered, which helps to protect from the harsh elements. Simultaneously, this helps to create magnificent, unobstructed vistas of the surrounding rugged landscape.

Inside this 6,200 square foot dwelling, the living room offers spectacular views through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. A stone clad fireplace, a focal point to the room, consists of Chief Cliff gray stone from Montana. The stone has been tumbled to create a softness to the edges. This same stone was also applied to the exterior facade of this mountain retreat. This is one of several material elements applied to the home that helps with creating a continuity throughout.

What We Love: This mountain retreat reflects the perfect balance of minimalist and contemporary with a touch of rustic. The natural design elements work in harmony with the contemporary architectural design. Loving the grand and elegant entryway, with soaring, double volume ceilings, walls of glass and the dramatic steel and wood staircase.
