This gorgeous traditional style home has been imagined by interior designer for model homes Mary Cook Associates, located in the coastal community of Cohasset, Massachusetts. Nestled in the picturesque neighborhood of the Estates at Cohasset, ideally less than thirty miles outside of Boston. With 41 luxury residences in this community, they were all built by Toll Brothers. We will start this home tour with the spectacular living room. Highlights includes a double volume ceiling, expansive windows that illuminates with natural light, coffered ceilings and engineered hardwood flooring (Hickory – Mountain Smoke) sourced from Armstrong.
Source Information: The walls feature a textured vinyl wallcovering from Villa Nova on the lower half and on the upper half, a Sherwin-Williams paint color that just happens to be their 2016 color of the year. The hue is described as being “symbolic of new beginnings”, in the color Alabaster (SW 7008). The ceiling was also painted in Sherwin-Williams, Pewter Tankard SW 0023. A lovely and spacious layout, the furnishings are centered around a floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplace from Daltile. A neutral color scheme creates a soothing and comfortable atmosphere. The Roost driftwood table base with a glass top can be sourced from here. The sofas were picked up from Rowe Furniture (Fabric Color: Natural). The accent chairs are also from Rowe Furniture (Fabric Color: Tiffin Pearl) and the corner chair is from Craftmaster. Decor items were purchased from retailers such as Crate and Barrel. The fabulous chandelier is made by Progress Lighting and can be purchased at Home Depot. Lastly, grounding the space is the beautiful area rug sourced from Suyra.
Above: The spacious open concept kitchen features Frederick counter stools sourced from Gabby Home. A kitchen desk offers a beautiful metal chair that was also picked up from Gabby Home. The Maddox Dining Leg Table is by Coaster Furniture, while the exquisite area rug underneath was sourced from Surya.
Above: In the kitchen, the oil rubbed bronze pendant lights illuminates the island, Progress Lighting. The countertops are granite, while the backsplash is a glazed ceramic from Daltile. The paint finishes includes: wall color – Sherwin-Williams – Pewter Tankard SW 0023 / ceiling color – Sherwin-Williams – Agreeable Gray SW 7029.
What We Love: This traditional style home features an elegant neutral color scheme with plenty of luxury details at every turn. Every room has been designed with comfortable living in mind, from the materials selection to the furniture arrangements. Expansive windows not only takes in the views of the surrounding wooded site, but illuminates the spaces with natural light. We love the dark hardwood flooring running throughout the main living spaces, it adds so much warmth into this home…. what are you loving in this home?
Above: This lovely living area features custom designed, built-in shelving for storage and showcasing personal collectable items. The wallcovering in the center of the built-in is the Villa Nova Collection – Lago Wallpaper Pearl (source). The furnishings are from Rowe Furniture. The Dugal sofa is in the color Mushroom, while the Dixon Chairs are in the color Tiffin Pearl. Delineating the space is the Surya Monterey area rug (source). The antique bronze pendant light suspended over this space is from the Inspire Collection at Progress Lighting. Lastly, the paint color is Sherwin-Williams – Unusual Gray SW 7059.
Above: The antique bronze Piedmont pendant lights hanging over the dining table were sourced from Progress Lighting. The beautiful brown wood extension dining table is made by Orient Express Furniture and can be sourced here. Grounding the space, the natural fiber rug is a hand-woven jute from Surya’s Reed Collection. The wall color below the chair rail is Sherwin-Williams – Grays Harbor SW 6236 and above is Sherwin-Williams – Accessible Beige SW 7036 (makes an excellent selection for a neutral).
Above: In the home office, the designer selected a timeless paint color from Sherwin-Williams in the color Artisan Tan SW 7540. The Coventry Executive Desk by Riverside Furniture is crafted from Hackberry hardwood solid and Ash veneer (source). The handwoven wool area rug was sourced from Suyra, its their Frontier collection. A wall of built-ins provides plenty of space to add personalized decorative items and books.
Above: The master bedroom features two shades of paint, with the bead board painted in Sherwin Williams – Westchester Gray SW 2849 and the above this, Sherwin-Williams – Anew Gray SW 7030. Grounding the space, the beautiful Orissa Neutral Wool area rug from Crate and Barrel. You can catch of glimpse of the adjoining master bathroom, painted in Sherwin Williams – Stone Lion SW7507.
Above: In the cozy bedroom sitting area, the chairs were a score from Home Goods, while the table was sourced from Interlude Home. Grounding the space, the Konstrukt area rug is from Jaipur Living.
Above: The closet was designed using the Organized Living Freedom Rail adjustable storage system. The paint colors include: wall color: Sherwin-Williams – SW 2849 Westchester Gray / ceiling color: Sherwin-Williams – SW 7013 Ivory Lace / trim color: Sherwin-Williams – SW 7008 Alabaster.
Above: In the girls room, the designer got creative and colorful with the walls. You can find the butterflies, which were tacked on with small nails, from G and G. The burgundy/red curtains are Dotkat Peony from Kravet. While the paint colors are as follows: Below the chair rail – Sherwin-Williams – Dovetail SW 7018, Above the chair rail- Sherwin-Williams – Meander Blue SW 6484, Striping – Sherwin-Williams – Ruby Shade SW 6572. A great look to DIY with some painters tape!
Above: In the boy’s room, the bedding and pillows were sourced from The Land of Nod. The bed itself is from Ikea, the STORÅ
Loft bed frame in black. The storage shelves on the wall are from CB2, it’s their slice wall mounted storage shelf. The blue paint is Sherwin-Williams Loyal – Blue SW 6510, while the red paint is Sherwin-Williams – Red Bay SW 6321.
