This spectacular modern duplex of 1,033 square feet (96 square meters) was spotted on Alvhem, located in Linnéstaden, a charming neighborhood in Gothenburg, Sweden. The interior of this welcoming two story home features soaring ceilings, plenty of natural light and exciting angles. The living room showcases floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provides access to one of the three patios in this apartment home. The architect who designed this home understood the importance of natural light. The glazed section gives an almost floating feeling and effectively blurs the line between inside and out. The walls are painted in white and the floor is adorned with an oak wood parquet. A built-in bookcase is displayed along one wall, helping to further emphasize the high ceilings and exciting angles. The space has a large sitting area with a spiral staircase in one corner to access the top level. The spacious terrace provides an extension of the living room, a great spot to spend time during the warm summer months and look out over the rooftops while getting some fresh air.
Also on this level is the kitchen, which offers plant of storage and a dining area to enjoy family meals. A balcony door leads out to a spacious patio where you can dine al fresco, overlooking a well manicured, open courtyard. The first floor also provides a bedroom with courtyard views, crisp white walls and oak parquet flooring. A spacious bathroom is is also conveniently on this level, located between the entryway and the kitchen.

From here you have a spectacular view down over the living room and out through the glass windows with unobstructed views of the Linnaeus rooftops. On this floor you can be completely at peace with a master bedroom retreat and private terrace as well as its own bathroom and separate entrance. There is plenty of storage thanks to five spacious wardrobes in the hallways towards the bedroom. There is also a seperate laundry area with a washer and dryer.
The apartment’s master bedroom is extraordinary, with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and an exit to a spacious terrace with complete transparency, providing an unbeatable feeling of freedom. With a quiet courtyard location, you can enjoy the summer breeze through the open patio door at night. The added bonus to this space is the fireplace across the bed, where you can enjoy a crackling fire on a rainy day.
