Designed by Eric Meglasson together with Copperline Homes, this warm, modern retreat is nestled on a generous lot within Tetherow, the gated high-desert golf resort community on the western outskirts of Bend, Oregon. Encompassing 4,564 square feet of living space, “Skyfall” balances crisp contemporary architecture with an inviting sense of comfort.

Inside, layered textures, thoughtful lighting, and refined materials create a calm, welcoming atmosphere suited for both everyday living and elevated entertaining. Each space is composed with intention—open where life expands, intimate where it slows—resulting in a home that feels both artful and deeply livable.

The material palette plays warm against bold wood ceilings, and vertical slat details soften the modern lines, while book-matched marble and dark cabinetry give the kitchen real presence.

Outside, covered living spaces and a fire feature extend the home into Tetherow’s high-desert landscape, built for Central Oregon evenings that start warm and end cool.

What We Love About This Home
The book-matched black marble backsplash in the kitchen is nothing short of spectacular, anchoring the entire space. We also love the covered outdoor living areas, where cedar ceilings, ceiling heaters, and a linear fireplace make Central Oregon’s cool evenings feel like the best part of the day. The powder room, with its floor-to-ceiling botanical wallpaper, ornately carved black vanity, and gold chandelier, is an unexpected moment that elevates this beautiful home.
Tell Us: What elements of Skyfall do you find most inspiring? Is it the dramatic black kitchen, the indoor-outdoor courtyard living, or the warm wood ceilings? Let us know in the Comments below. We love reading your feedback!
Note: Be sure to check out a couple of other stunning home tours we have featured here on One Kindesign in the Bend, Oregon area: A modern hideaway in Oregon’s high desert designed to capture forest views and A modern rustic farmhouse with glorious views of Oregon’s high desert.

Inspired by the unexpected aesthetic intersection of the Pacific NW and Palm Springs Mid Century Modern, Harper House Design took their client’s vision and ran with it for this interior design project. The goals? Think beyond the box, or reinvent it altogether. Welcome, bold colors and patterns. Let it be as dramatic and sexy as it wants to be. In other words: make the space timeless, joyous, alive.
