Murdough Design is responsible for the design of this contemporary lakeside dream home located in Center Harbor, a town in Belknap County, New Hampshire. This dwelling was created for a couple that loves to host sleepovers, hold social events and cultivate community.
The main home’s expansive open living area and equally large family room below are inviting spaces, well-suited for large group gatherings ranging from dinners to poetry readings, from jam sessions to artist retreats.

The adjoining guest cottage sleeps up to 16 overnight guests comfortably. Custom bunks, en suite baths, and a primary bedroom make up four similar, yet intentionally unique, “pods,” each constructed to meet the distinct needs of the varied guests lucky enough to spend a night or more here.
What We Love: This lakeside dream home provides its occupants with warm and inviting living spaces and tranquil lakefront views. Expansive walls of glass help to blur the indoor-outdoor boundaries while drenching the interiors with natural light. We are especially loving the great room with its soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and sliding glass doors that lead out to a wrap-around deck.
