This beautiful English-style house was designed by Cusimano Architect in collaboration with Ashley Goforth Design, located in Houston, Texas. The goal of this project was to create a home that feels warm and welcoming yet luxurious and refined. Inside, the designer has created family-friendly living spaces with an uplifting environment.
From the moment one walks through the front door, you are greeted by ‘Lonely No More’ artwork from artist Peter Tunney. A material palette of brick, timber, and slate has been used to create this dwelling, which is an English style with a contemporary L-shaped configuration in order to maximize this home’s corner site. The structure is set back from the tree-lined street to enhance privacy.

Above: In the entryway, elegant gas lanterns from Lighting Inc. create a welcoming ambiance. As you step inside, the entryway greets guests with the warm glow of the Lariant Pendant lights by Apparatus Studio, accompanied by a custom bench upholstered in wool fabric from Schumacher, adding both style and comfort.

What We Love: This English-style house provides its occupants with warm and welcoming living spaces with luxury details throughout. A neutral color palette with a layering of textures creates a cozy environment for family living. We are especially loving the mix of couture fabrics, custom and modern furnishings, along with antique and vintage pieces to create the feeling of a collected-over-time aesthetic. Overall, a beautiful and timeless home that will surely be enjoyed for years to come.
