Architectural studio Shepherd Resources has designed this contemporary mountain house, nestled on a spectacular 60-acre property bordering Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. This incredible dwelling boasts unparalleled views of Longโs Peak, the Twin Sisters, and Estes Cone. The central fireplace is suspended from the primary living spaceโs ceiling, accompanied by a fabulous chefโs kitchen, a two-stage pantry, an outdoor kitchen, and a pizza oven.
This home was designed to celebrate outdoor living. The patios and fireplaces are thoroughly clad with durable, fire-resistant materials in response to the harsh environment and remote nature of the property. Maximizing endless views was a high priority when siting this home on the terrain. Entry into the primary living spaces is through glass curtain walls.
This home is embedded into the mountainside, where native vegetation planted onto the garage roof helps to blend the house into its surroundings.
