This French bluestone manor house was designed by Ward Jewell Architect, located in Brentwood Park, a neighborhood in the Westside of Los Angeles, California. The owners are a couple of empty nesters who wished to have a beautiful home that would welcome and entice their adult children and grandchildren.
They collaborated with the architect to design a house whose style and scale are reminiscent of the golden age mansions in Old Pasadena. This mostly one-story manor house features tall and interestingly shaped ceilings that carve into the shear angles of the rooflines.

The steep, dark grey slate roof with dormers sits on bouquet canyon bluestone walls contrasted with white trim. Details such as beveled leaded glass windows and copper gutters complement the classic facade.
What We Love: This French bluestone manor house features a beautiful open concept family room and kitchen with tall wood-beamed ceilings and dormer windows for natural light. French doors and windows allow fresh breezes to flow into this home while also framing welcoming garden views.
