This sophisticated modern cabin was designed by Peterssen Keller Architecture, nestled just off the shore of Pelican Lake in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Flanked by traditional cabins, this striking lake house brings architectural diversity to this lakeshore community. The structure features a standing seam metal and flat top roof with a rock ballast.

Throughout the year, the the floor-to-ceiling windows capture the light and continualy-changing colors of the water. Come winter, when the lake is covered with ice and snow, the dark siding creates a dramatic punctuation mark in the pristine white landscape.

The painted black cedar lap siding highlights the clean straight lines of the structure and integrates seamlessly with the walls of glass.

What We Love: This sophisticated modern cabin provides a striking exterior facade with large windows that frames its tranquil lakeside setting. Inside, bright and airy living spaces offer a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy lake life. Interior spaces were designed to be comfortable and relaxing while providing plenty of space for both everyday living enjoyment and for entertaining guests.
