This fabulous residence is the work of luxury home builder Cranbrook Custom Homes, located on a magnificent tract of equestrian property outside of Detroit, Michigan. The builders teamed up with Restoration Hardware to furnish their model at Montcaret, a custom home community. Interiors studio Mary Cook Associates designed the interiors of this model, with the goal of creating a dream house that prospective buyers would wish to have as their own.

This gorgeous residence was designed to accommodate an active and growing family, with designated spaces for formal occasions, family togetherness and play. Throughout the interiors, fixtures and furnishings were used to highlight the home’s thoughtful and encompassing Tuscan Villa architectural styling, exquisitely wrought workmanship and ultimate livability.

Restoration Hardware’s sumptuous upholstery, handsome furniture and opulent textiles, ranging from hand-knotted rugs to hand-woven linens, maximize spaces that run the gamut from classical and refined in formal rooms to rustic and relaxed in family gathering areas.

In every room, grand fixtures complement the home’s distinctive millwork and creative ceiling treatments. The retailer’s case goods, such as kitchen cabinets and storage systems, were also specified to meet the home’s broad range of aesthetic needs and maximize utility in every space.

A painstakingly selected stable of talented artisans were called on to add bespoke touches to the mix, such as hand-forged zinc elements in the kitchen and a handmade riveted wood bar and display shelves to show off exotic spirits in the lower level. These inventive finishing touches brought the spaces to life and gave them character, warmth and most importantly, the kind of authenticity that a model home interior needs to inspire potential residents.
