T.S. Adams Studio, Architects together with Darci Hether New York designed this inviting dream house that boasts waterfront views, nestled along Watersound Beach, Florida. The homeowners are a retired couple based in Houston, Texas who were looking for a getaway home.
They wanted something comfortable, beautiful, and elegant that would “leave a lasting impression on those who visit”. The interior of this 3,520 square foot house included five bedrooms — one that was used as an office and another that we designed as a stylish and sophisticated bunk room — five and a half baths, a den, an open concept dining room/living room/kitchen, and an upstairs game room.

The homeowners wanted to ensure that their guests enjoyed a luxury experience. With that in mind, the designer created inviting common areas that are ideal for relaxing or entertaining and individual bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, reminiscent of an elegant boutique hotel.
As devoted dog lovers, the home needed to be welcoming to their four-legged friends as well. The majority of the furniture was custom and the fabrics were selected to be both attractive and durable for ease of use and clean-ability in addition to style.
Located in an area called Camp Creek Lake, this home boasts the Gulf of Mexico and lake views. Naturally, the project team wanted to make the most of that when designing both the indoor and outdoor spaces. They created moments throughout the home, like an inviting window seat and a restful balcony, to take in the views.
What We Love: This inviting Florida beach house features customized details throughout, providing the homeowners with a fabulous retreat for relaxing and unwinding. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were designed to maximize views of the water, adding to the tranquility of this home. Overall, there is so much to love about this retreat, from the stylish furnishings to the durable finishes that were selected for the owner’s four-legged friends.

Above: This serene bedroom is painted in Benjamin Moore # HC-144 Palladian Blue. The designer has used this paint color on a few projects and no matter the direction the room faces, it always reads as a very soothing, complimentary color.
For the main bedroom, the homeowners wanted to feel “enveloped.” With that in mind, the designer selected rich materials like silk grasscloth wallcovering and raw silk drapery in watery shades of green and blue with accents of vintage rose. The result was a soothing space with special touches that served as a retreat from the world.
