Hubbell Daily Architecture + Design, in partnership with Ann Lowengart Interiors, has beautifully reimagined this three-story Mediterranean revival house situated in Mill Valley, California. Originally a 1930s summer cottage that expanded both upward and downward over the years, this stunning dwelling now boasts a fresh new look.
Throughout the interiors, a unifying theme of clean, crisp white wall plaster paired with bronze hardware provides the home with a sense of consistency. The color palette remains neutral, complemented by minimalist furnishings that exude a calm and restrained ambiance. Various textures and subtle tonal variations add an intriguing visual dimension to the design.

One of the notable design elements is the hand-painted terra cotta tile used for the stair risers that lead from the living room to the primary suite. These tiles feature a lovely combination of gray and off-white hues, and the same resource was employed in the kitchen for the island’s toe kick, creating a harmonious flow throughout the home.
What We Love: This Mediterranean revival house offers a completely reimagined aesthetic that is warm and welcoming. From the beautiful gardens that surround this home to the attractive exterior, this home has some fabulous curb appeal. We especially love the organic feel of the interior and the beautiful staircase design, along with the crisp and clean feel of the white walls coupled with the wood flooring and wood beams on the ceiling.
