The homeowners’ had a distinct vision for their custom dwelling—one resilient enough for their active family, including a lively golden retriever—interwoven with vibrant hues and modern aesthetics, resulting in a stunning, functional, and welcoming abode.

Step inside this inviting 7,061-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-bath home to livable luxury with pops of color throughout. Its open layout on the main level provides easy entertaining and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame breathtaking views of Lake Minnetonka. Despite the narrow plot, the dwelling was created to maximize waterside enjoyment through a covered entry and a three-season porch, complete with drop-down screens, a limestone fireplace, and concealed heaters—becoming a cherished family space for most of the year.

During long, gloomy winters, the homeowners have managed to surround themselves with bright spots. The homeowner’s vast art collection serves as inspiration for the interior color palette. In the foyer, a piece painted by the owner’s mother takes center stage—a vibrant, joyful artwork that helps to set the tone for the home upon entry.

What We Love: This welcoming lake house offers its inhabitants an open and airy floor plan layout with bright pops of color. The color infused throughout this home helps to keep this home feeling cheerful throughout the year, especially during the long winter months. We are especially loving the striking steel and wood staircase that provides a dramatic focal point when entering this fabulous family-friendly dwelling.
