SANDBOX Studio in collaboration with Mark Tanner Construction has designed this stunning mountain contemporary-style home located in Truckee, California. This five-bedroom and five-and-a-half bathroom dwelling was created to take maximize its incredible surroundings and provide the ultimate entertainment space with unrivaled indoor-outdoor living.

Constructed on a spacious property at the edge of Martis Camp and backing up to US Forest Service Land, creating a home that makes the most of its uniquely private and beautiful site was a top priority. Highlights include five terrace areas, a fire pit, a gorgeous four-sided fireplace, a hot tub, a recreation room with a bar, a home theater room, soaring ceilings, and a bright, open great room, no luxury was spared.

What We Love: This mountain home in Truckee offers its inhabitants a warm and inviting layout with a wonderful indoor-outdoor living experience. Spread out over two levels, this dwelling seperates the private spaces from the public spaces, with the main bedroom having its own wing and nature-filled views. Stepping inside you will find warm wood finishes, exposed steel structure, contemporary fenestration, and custom detailing to create an exceptional mountain retreat.
