Before & After: Family home in Illinois gets a cozy and inviting makeover

transitional-kitchen

Chad Esslinger Design has completely renovated the entire first floor of his personal family home located in Downers Grove, a village in DuPage County, Illinois. The remodel of this project entailed an overhaul of the kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, family room, living room, entry, and staircase. Continue below to see the pictures of this family home before the remodel!

Above: The previous layout of this kitchen was about 160″ x 130″. The designer removed 30″ from one end to allow for the larger island which was pushed out and is off-center from the kitchen space. The island is a stock finish from Omega Cabinetry called Smokey Hills.
