Tour a dream home with majestic views of the North Carolina Mountains

This stunning mountain contemporary dream home was designed by Allard Roberts Interior Design, nestled on a ridge within the community of The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in Asheville, North Carolina. Every detail was thoughtfully considered for the homeowners who had planned this to be their “last house”.

The designers collaborated with the owners on their dream vision, customizing details throughout the home including furniture and decor. The homeowners requested design elements and finishes that were unique and visually interesting. This includes curved window walls that capture breathtaking mountain vistas, carved stone tiles behind a freestanding tub, and a custom-crafted concrete fireplace that is a focal point of the living area.

Furniture, fabric, lighting, and decor selections were coordinated to enhance and reflect the custom curved design elements throughout each room of the house. A neutral palette allows the views to take center stage, while the variety of textures provides visual interest. Accent colors have been introduced through artwork and area rugs. The backgrounds are timeless and allow the accent colors to be changed out over time should the owner desire.

The interiors of this mountain dream home were designed with an abundance of curved elements, from arches framing stairways and niches to wave-shaped hardware that echoes wave-patterned, hand-carved tiles. Even the raised countertop of the kitchen island showcases an elegant curved end detail that is supported by custom stainless supports. The vent hood is by GE Monogram appliances. Island dimensions: 99″ x 42″.

This home is beyond beautiful. The selection for tile is gorgeous. Love how the paint color glides thru the whole house. Simply amazing home.
