Organic modern dream house inspired by the mountains of North Carolina

organic-modern-mountain-home-exterior

This organic modern dream house is a collaborative creation by Brickstack Architects and Allard + Roberts Interior Design, located in the Town Mountain Preserve, a mountain neighborhood just outside of downtown Asheville, North Carolina. The dwelling was sited on the property to take advantage of the breathtaking mountain vistas, offering a feeling of tranquility for the owners who recently retired.

Local craftsmen were contracted for custom features throughout the design, this included the front door, interior, and exterior stair railings, powder bath vanities, kitchen range hood, along with all of the furnishings and upholstery. Regional materials were procured for all of the hard surfaces.

The designers worked with the homeowners to procure all of the architectural fixtures and finishes, area rugs, light fixtures, furnishings, and accessories. They also visited local art galleries to build a selection of artwork and objects to help personalize their home. This dwelling encompasses 3,800 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms.
