Pineapples Design Group designed this charming seaside cottage with a relaxed and comfortable beach vibe, located in Hobe Sound, Martin County, Florida. This beautiful home is that of interior designer and co-owner of Pineapples, Palms, Etc., a lovely retail shop in Jupiter, Florida. The designer had always dreamed of living a “Barefoot Dream” lifestyle. This Florida Cracker style cottage completes this vision, boasting waterfront views and fresh ocean breezes.
Florida cracker-style homes are characterized by metal roofs, raised floors, straight central hallways from the front to the back of the home, and wraparound porches. The designer incorporated numerous windows and doors into the floor plan, which opens out to an expansive deck to enable ocean breezes to cross-ventilate through the home. What We Love: This charming seaside cottage features comfortable and casual living spaces conducive to a relaxed atmosphere. Large windows and doors fill the house with fresh sea breezes. Throughout the interiors, one-of-a-kind pieces and comfortable slip-covered furnishings complement a backdrop of crisp white shiplap walls. The result is a modern coastal style with open, airy and inviting living spaces to welcome family entertaining.

Upon entrance into this seaside cottage, you will immediately notice the exquisite blend of textures, organic woods, and fun printed fabrics. It is a casual and comfortable vibe. The flooring throughout the home is french wide plank white oak.
