This 6,500 square foot rustic contemporary home underwent a complete interior overhaul by Urbanology Designs, located in Flower Mound, Texas. The scope of this project entailed a 12-room renovation of a newly constructed home, requiring a few redesigns and tweaks to create the ultimate living space for modern/casual luxe loving homeowners. What We Love: The renovation of this rustic contemporary home provides a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Along with a casual vibe, you will find unique, one-of-a-kind statement pieces throughout the living spaces. Comfortable and inviting yet classy with touches of modern luxe. We are especially loving the playful spaces, such as the kids bedrooms, arcade room and kids art studio. So many fun touches in this home!

Decorating this rustic contemporary space is a platform bed, roman shades and modern pendant light that hang from the ceiling. These additions have completely transformed the space, changing the overall look and feel.

Above: In the guest bedroom, a warm and cozy handmade chunky knit blanket can be found on Etsy. Grounding this space is a colorful area rug sourced from Anthropologie.

Above: How amazing is this arcade room? Loving the comfortable furnishings and the pillows that spell “PLAY”. The goal of this space was to add pops of color while creating a playful space for family and friends to gather. A custom snack bar completes this space.
Above: A superhero theme decorates the son’s bedroom. The wood and metal bunk bed is custom designed with a third extra pull-out mattress for sleep-overs. Also decorating this space is a metal catch-all locker, lounge chair (can be used as a fourth bed) and sports and super-hero memorabilia.
Above: Tucked away in the corner of this house is a cozy art studio for the homeowner’s daughter, who has a passion for drawing and painting. A wooden platform was constructed for the desk with concealed storage. A hanging Ratan chair and wooden daybed provides cozy spaces for daydreaming. A trio of woven pendant lights are hung at varying heights to provide task lighting to this already luminous space.
Above: The homeowner’s enjoy hosting gatherings with family and friends, therefore an outdoor living/entertaining space was important. A custom table, benches and chairs provides plenty of seating for meals, while a sectional and other outdoor furnishings offers additional space for lounging.
