This rustic mountain lodge was designed by Centre Sky Architecture to be a part of the ridge and the surrounding site, located at the Spanish Peaks Club in Big Sky, Montana. Elk Ridge Lodge offers a distinctive infusion of rustic Montana warmth and sophisticated charm. Combining elements including reclaimed timber, custom windows and locally forged metalwork, the lodge celebrates its unique and beautiful surroundings. Each handcrafted detail of this home contributes to its exceptional character, drawing on inspiration from the mountain wilderness and Western flair.

Drawing the forest into this striking great room are massive Stripped Cedar Trunks, while cleverly anchoring the physical structure of this dwelling. Adding warmth and character, the flooring features historic red and white oak planks in random lengths that will patina with age. The windows throughout the interiors of the lodge feature stained alder wood frames.
Above: The Prairie stone that was integrated on the exterior of the lodge was also used for the vertical masonry on the interiors—including the stunning hearths. The horizontal stone used on the flatwork throughout the interiors was sourced from Frontier Stone.
