20+ Inspiring ideas to create a dreamy master bathroom retreat

master bathroom retreat

Creating your dream master bathroom retreat involves adding details such as beautiful light fixtures, a shower and bathtub, well-appointed fixtures, and customized vanities. Having a bathtub in the master bathroom is a personal preference, as many people have them just for aesthetics. If you don’t have a tub in the master, just make sure you have one in another bathroom. If you renovate your master bathroom and you do not use your bathtub, consider deleting it altogether and expand the shower. You will then have space to fully deck it out—such as multiple shower heads, a steam unit, rain head, and hand shower.

If you love having a soaking tub in your master bath, consider at least 66″ to enjoy your relaxing oasis. Don’t forget to add some gorgeous tile features in your master bathroom retreat, from the floor to the walls, shower, and even your bathtub surround. The right color of wall paint can also make a huge difference in adding a relaxing feel to your space. Have a look below for some inspiring ideas that we have put together for you, along with all of the sources!

Readers, what do you think of having a soaking tub in your master bathroom? If you could remodel, would you have the bathtub removed for a more spacious bathroom and larger shower or would you just select a more opulent tub?
