An absolutely dreamy beach style getaway in WaterColor, Florida

 Beach Style Residence-Geoff Chick-01-1 Kindesign

This dreamy beach style residence was designed as a vacation home for a Houston couple, designed by Geoff Chick & Associates in WaterColor, Florida. This three-story sanctuary faces a neighborhood park, while the back of the property is nestled into Point Washington State Forest, a large natural preserve. The homeowner, who had a rather vast collection of notes and magazine clippings, was able to decorate this dream getaway herself. The interior scheme consisted of simple, clean lines with a palette of beach-inspired hues—blues, greens and beiges.

Above: All exterior paint colors used on this home are Sherwin Williams. The HardiePlank lap siding color is Misty SW 6232. The trim color is Oyster SW 7637. The garage door as well as the porch ceiling color is Moody Blue SW 6221. For the red cedar shingles—stain was mixed with paint—Rain SW 6219 (using a 5 to 1 stain/paint mix) and the shingles were dipped in this once or twice. The roof consists of 5V crimp (high-quality, low maintenance), mill finish galvalume.

What We Love: This dreamy beach style retreat features a tantalizingly location and aesthetically pleasing design features—both indoors and out. The open concept theme helps everyone to feel really connected, which is perfect when you host your entire family at your vacation home. The color palette is very soothing, offering an inviting atmosphere to relax and stay awhile. We are especially loving the beach sand collection, it is such a creative idea and very personalized… Readers, please share what details in this home caught your eye in the comments below!

Above: The homeowners had wanted a property with a sea view, since theirs did not have this, the architect constructed the house as high as the Homeowner’s Association would allow. Now they are able to enjoy views from this tower structure, all the way to the beach! The ceiling of this cozy sitting room consists of a pecky cypress.

Can I get sources for the ‘star’ transoms/ or transom grids that are featured on the front windows of this beautiful home? Also the ‘star’ railings on the front porch railing ? I Love how the transoms and the porch railing mirror each other. Such a beautiful home. Thanks so much!
