This rural Mediterranean courtyard home designed by OZ Architects features reclaimed and antique building materials, located in Carefree, a town in Maricopa County, Arizona. Linthicum Custom Builders was responsible for the construction of this beautiful private residence. OZ Interiors specified all of the furnishings, finishes and accessories throughout the interiors.
Above: The homeowners requested that their living room be designed with comfortable furnishings, plenty of natural light and a gorgeous fireplace. Other must haves includes a bookcase and plenty of seating for entertaining guests. The central focal point is the authentic, 18th-century Louis XIII-style limestone fireplace. The fireplace grate was sourced from Feu Fire. Illuminating the 23 by 22 foot living room is an antique chandelier, while the walls are a veneer plaster with a custom color. FYI: The coffee table was custom fabricated through OZ Shop—featuring a bluestone top with a hand-wrought iron base.
What We Love: This stylish Mediterranean courtyard home features stunning living space both inside and out. With stone walls and floors, wood beamed ceilings and reclaimed elements, this home has plenty of charm and character. We are especially loving the kitchen with its beautiful mix of wood and stone and stainless steel countertop on the island… Readers, what details in this home most stands out to you and why?
