A relaxed mountain modern home was commissioned by Ward Young Architects along with Riera Design and Interiors, located in the luxury community of Martis Camp, near North Lake Tahoe, California. This 8,500 square foot home is used by the homeowners as a golf and ski retreat. From the exterior, the architect designed the angular roof plans to mimic that of the High Sierra ridgelines. While the interior living environment was designed to make the home’s inhabitants feel like they were integrated with the Sierra Nevada landscape. Expansive windows framed by steel beams and pavilion-like spaces captures the essence of the surrounding nature.

What We Love: This mountain modern retreat is absolutely stunning, from the soaring ceilings to the fine details featured throughout. We especially love the luxurious John Pomp chandelier suspended from the entryway ceiling, inviting you into this heavenly abode. If you love mountain homes, than this home tour is sure to please!
