Today we present to you another gorgeous ski chalet by the very talented French-American interior designer Marianne Tiegen, located in Verbier, a resort village in Switzerland. Rich in wood on the walls and ceilings and with a gray-toned tiling traversing through the main living areas and wood covering the bedroom spaces, this is in rough-luxe chalet. As you look around you will notice sumptuously plush and comfortable furnishings, with relaxing spaces that are both chic and sophisticated yet ultra cozy. A patterned area rug in the living room adds texture, warmth and depth of space. A built-in window seat adjacent to the fireplace adds a cozy little nook to curl up and read a book while gaining heating from the fire. The interiors are very inviting, beckoning you to sit, relax and enjoy mountain life. This would be a great home for both enjoying family time and entertaining guests, with a spacious dining area perfect for hosting a grand affair!
In response to a recent mountain home that we had posted to our Twitter page, someone responded by stating that when they build their dream home, where should they place it in the mountains, the desert or along the ocean? We have showcased a lot of each here on 1 Kindesign, however after these past couple of mountain retreats showcased from the designer Marianne Tiegen, we might just vote for a mountain dream home. How about you, if you could build your dream home anywhere, which would you choose? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!

We are ready to stay here any time there is an extended invitation, if not, the visual journey is definately a treat for the eyes. We hope you enjoy this designer’s work as much as we do!
