A classic home with a timeless interior design scheme has been re-imagined by Mark Ashby Design, located on a beautiful tree lined street in Austin, Texas. The home was originally constructed in the 1920’s and with the help of Don Crowell Builders, the residence was given a complete overhaul. A traditional aesthetic was been created throughout the interiors by selecting timeless furnishings and finishes. Modern details have been added to cater to the lifestyle needs of this young family. To respect the history of this gorgeous home, some original rooms were preserved, such as a light-filled porch on the first level and a sleeping porch on the second level. Crisp white walls are the backdrop to colorful furnishings, while dark wood flooring throughout most of the living spaces adds warmth and charm. A beautiful patterned flooring on the sun porch creates a unique style and sets this room apart from the rest of the home. The space is very welcoming and cozy, the perfect spot to enjoy great conversation or curl up and read a good book!
