This stylishly modern apartment showcases a very distinctive cosmopolitan design that has been transformed by YLAB Architects, located in Barcelona, Spain. A carefully planned redistribution is communicated through the fluidity of spaces and a spacious terrace that offers spectacular views over the city and the sea beyond. The reform of this 1,216 square foot pad takes advantage of the space, creating an open plan common area that has been carefully highlighted. These spaces includes a living room, dining room and kitchen, which are all oriented to the outside, through an expansive sliding glass door to the terrace. The whole wall is comprised of glass, allowing not only the interior to be flooded with natural light but to capture views of the city. The glossy white kitchen is also very noteworthy, offering clean lines, warm design and top-of-the-line appliances. The spaces that necessitated increased privacy, the bedroom and bathroom, were integrated, removing long corridors that were original to the space. The interior design scheme reflects gray, black and white, mixed with the added warmth that is offered by material elements of wood and current deign pieces. Photography artworks are displayed on the walls and beautiful accessories are found decorating built-in niches and shelving. Stylish touch screens allow the homeowners full control over lighting systems or the position of the curtains.
What We Love: Even though this house was designed in a modern fashion, it steels feels very warm with the incorporation of wood on the flooring and clad against the wall in the kitchen. Nice decorative elements also helps to infuse the home with warmth… but the best part has to be that awesome view out the wall of glass and onto the bustling city beyond, just breathtaking!
