Vermont lake house boasts awe-inspiring views of the Adirondack Mountains

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Champlain, Vermont, this newly built, eco-friendly house was created by Battle Associates Architects. Perched on a bluff, the property features spectacular views of the Adirondack Mountains. A celebration of timber construction, this modernized version of a Victorian-era stick-style-inspired home features a copper-clad chimney and copper roof.

Views of the water and circulation around the great room volume anchor all the living spaces. Chestnut wood interiors and walnut floors provided warm and complimentary interior finishes. This sustainable house is ultra-insulated, heated, and cooled by geothermal technology, while solar photovoltaic panels assist in operating the house.
