In Biarritz, France we find this wonderful fully furnished pool house, surrounded by a lush gardens designed by KMO Architects designer Melian Randolph. What was originally an open building with a seating area, dining area and a small kitchenette to enjoy long summer days on the water, eventually became a pavilion house in the making. The design team gave a fresh and natural style to this re-design, dotted with refined touches. They added an annex to the existing building which houses a lounge area, they also added a loft space with a bedroom and bathroom. The designer has been friends with the homeowners for the past twenty years, which helped facilitate the design process to have familiarity with their style tastes. The end result was just as expected, so much more than just a classic pool pavilion. The inspiration for the design was beach huts on the French Atlantic coast, which created a blue and white design scheme that is very Mediterranean and fresh. Both the interior and exterior lounge areas showcase dynamic and colorful materials and patterns. The materials selected exude personality and express the feeling of freshness, in the tiling, oak flooring, fabrics and natural fibers. The refreshing pool and turquoise hued water is repeated on the sofas, cushions and accessories. The lovely gardens create a comfortable and serene atmosphere to enjoy throughout the year, especially during the warm summer months.

This comfortable pool house offers a fireplace in the living room to keep family members and guests warm in the evenings and cool winter months. The graphical chevron print tiling on the floor adds visual interest and a nice pop of color to the space. What do you think of this pool house, would make good use of it?
