What We Love About This Home

We love how the moody, masculine material palette, such as the blackened hexagonal tile, reeded walnut, and dramatic veined quartzite, is balanced by warm wood floors and soft, textural upholstery throughout. The fireplace as sculpture is a showstopper: a custom loop-form gas insert that trades traditional logs for art, framed by hand-set concrete and geometric tile. Most of all, we love how every room, from the moody green butler’s pantry to the owner’s bedroom suite, opens toward Lake Keowee, making the landscape itself the home’s defining design element.
